Prof. Pratt is one of seven early-career recipients recognized by the foundation for innovative research on critical areas in neuroscience, cancer, immunology, and pain. Prof. Pratt is the first ever recipient from Boston University in the award’s 48-year history.
The grant provides $50,000 over the next year to develop novel engineering tools for molecular characterization of circulating tumor DNA. The award is part of a three-year Institutional Research Grant awarded to Boston University to provide pilot funds for early-stage cancer research investigators.
The Moorman-Simon Interdisciplinary Career Development Professorship recognizes a faculty member who is conducting truly interdisciplinary work and either holds or has the potential to hold appointments in multiple schools and colleges at BU.
