Welcome to the Pratt Laboratory
We are an engineering-driven cancer research laboratory. Our mission is the design of liquid biopsy assays for non-invasive cancer monitoring. We work at the interface of engineering, chemical biology, and oncology.

We are very excited to extend a warm welcome to our newest graduate student. Loran Gliford joins us after completing a series of rotations through the Molecular Biology, Cell Biology & Biochemistry program at Boston University.
We are very excited to extend a warm welcome to our newest undergraduate researcher. Hanhminh Nguyen is currently in her junior year in the BME program at Boston University. Check out her profile on our People page!
The grant provides $50,000 over the next year to develop novel engineering tools for molecular characterization of circulating tumor DNA. The award is part of a three-year Institutional Research Grant awarded to Boston University to provide pilot funds for early-stage cancer research investigators.
Prof. Pratt will be discussion leader for the “Clinical Applications Toward Personalized Detection and Therapy” session at the Physical Science of Cancer Gordon Research Conference. The conference will be held Feb 5-10 at the Grand Galvez in Galveston, TX.
We are excited to host two new rotation students in the Pratt Lab. Welcome to Loran Gliford (BS Cell and Molecular Biology, University of Rhode Island) and Tori Guerina (BS, Biology, University of Massachusetts, Lowell).
