We are an engineering-driven cancer research laboratory. Our mission is the design of liquid biopsy assays for non-invasive cancer monitoring. We work at the interface of engineering, chemical biology, and oncology.
Join the Team
The grant provides $50,000 over the next year to develop novel engineering tools for molecular characterization of circulating tumor DNA. The award is part of a three-year Institutional Research Grant awarded to Boston University to provide pilot funds for early-stage cancer research investigators.
Prof. Pratt will be discussion leader for the “Clinical Applications Toward Personalized Detection and Therapy” session at the Physical Science of Cancer Gordon Research Conference. The conference will be held Feb 5-10 at the Grand Galvez in Galveston, TX.
We are excited to host two new rotation students in the Pratt Lab. Welcome to Loran Gliford (BS Cell and Molecular Biology, University of Rhode Island) and Tori Guerina (BS, Biology, University of Massachusetts, Lowell).
Effective November 17, 2022, Prof. Pratt received a secondary appointment of Assistant Professor, Hematology & Medical Oncology, Medicine at the Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine.
We are very excited to welcome to our newest lab member. Nicholle Weir-Shack is a sophomore in the BU Biology program. She will work as a lab coordinator as part of the ARROWS Student Lab Managers Program.
