We are an engineering-driven cancer research laboratory. Our mission is the design of liquid biopsy assays for non-invasive cancer monitoring. We work at the interface of engineering, chemical biology, and oncology.

The following projects will be presented during the 2023 BMES Annual Meeting, held October 11th - 14th in Seattle, WA: “Optimization and Expansion of Digital PCR Multiplexing for Rare Mutation Detection” presented by Colin Skeen in the Imaging Strategies in Cancer Detection, Diagnosis, and Prognosis session on October 13th from 8:30-8:45 AM.

We are very excited to extend a warm congratulations and welcome to our newest undergraduate researcher, Terry Chen. Terry was awarded an Undergraduate Research Program grant through BU STEM Pathways. He is currently in his sophomore year in the BU BME program.
Congratulations to Loran Gliford on being selected to be a trainee in the NIH T32 Synthetic Biology and Biotechnology (SB2) Training Program at BU! The training fellowship provides funding for the next two years.
We are very excited to extend a warm welcome to our Jackelyn (“Jacky”) Merida. Jacky joins us as part of the STEM Pathways program at BU. Maren Eltze will mentor Jacky as she works on her own research project.
